The Phantom Of The Opera Charlotte Theatre reviews
Disappointing
Here is the rearranged review with a few words switched:
"The sound setup was the absolute worst at this concert. I was so excited for this show and had such high expectations, but by the end of it, I was absolutely heartbroken. The decision of the venue or the show, I am not sure, but it was simply because of the sound setup, the worst concert I have ever been to. The stage had the sound system/speakers set up facing forward only and did not use any of the venue’s upper sound system/speakers. Everything went through those small speakers, as loud as possible, and the echo was HORRIBLE, you couldn’t understand ANYTHING, not even the artists simply speaking instead of singing/rapping. If I did not know any of the songs, I would have never understood what was going on, and even when I did know the songs, it was still so hard to understand. There were also only 3 small tv screens in use on the stage, none of the upper screens, so it was very difficult to see the show unless you were front and center. We sat it out, and thought maybe something (more so sound) would be fixed (maybe it was a mess up and they would catch it), but it was a complete waste of time. I’ve seen Nelly before, and I know he is an AMAZING performer, but we ended up leaving once he started singing because what was the point of staying? - we couldn’t understand or see him. The venue also had the tightest, most uncomfortable seating. I left with bruises on my thighs from the armrests… I sat in misery the whole time. Again, I am heartbroken. I was so excited and had such high expectations for this show, but it was unfortunately the worst concert I have ever been to."
